Beautiful Hollyhocks

Saturday, March 21st, 2009

I am so proud of the students in my Hollyhocks class.  I have photos of some of their completed projects.  Hollyhocks is a machine needle felted project, including lots of extras.  It is beaded, felted from both sides, and has a nifty  way to do your flower cutting.  (If you were in one of my classes, you know the secret.)  Great job on those borders and your finishing touches.

I couldn’t be more proud of these floral arrangements, they are fabulous, and even better, they are Finished!  Absolutely great work ladies!  If you are still working on yours, it’s not too late.  Send me a photo of this or any felting or doll project you have finished.  I love to see completed projects!

Recent Classes

I’m so far behind in my posts.  I guess blogging hasn’t become a high priority for me.  I’d rather be teaching classes, or at home making samples for new classes.

Below are some  photos of the classes I recently taught in South Carolina.  It was such a great trip, as usual.  I started off my visit by doing a demo at the Myrtle Beach Quilt Gala.  I had a mini trunk show with some hands on time for the participants on the Babylock Embellisher.  It’s so hard for me to stay on track with my planned speech.  Once I start talking about needle felting, I just have to share everything I know.  I absolutely love machine needle felting!   I met so many wonderful people who were equally excited to learn my style of needle felting.

I was so pleased to see that Meg F.  won First  Place for her needle felted Iris Garden quilt, she took in my class.  That was the one day I didn’t have my camera with me.  I hope Meg will send me a photo so I can add it here and show you her beautiful quilt.  That was very exciting.  You can soon see the original on my website, soon.  www.BarbaraPotoczny.com

Following the show in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I taught classes at Accent Sewing in Murrells Inlet.  Following are some photos of my Hollyhock class.  The ladies did a wonderful job on their wall hangings.  They should all be very proud of their beautiful floral wall hangings.  Looks like they are all just about finished.
